Hearts & Paws was born from a long-time dream to make a meaningful difference. Years ago, I first explored that dream through my previous business, Building Memories, where I created seed cards for veterinary practices — small keepsakes designed to offer comfort during some of life’s hardest goodbyes.
​
But life has a way of redirecting us. Challenges came, priorities shifted, and I had to place my heart-project on hold to focus fully on my career and responsibilities. Although I stepped away from the business, I never let go of the vision.
​
When my only daughter moved to Cape Town (hello, empty-nest syndrome!), it created space — emotionally and practically — for me to reflect on what truly fills my cup. I realised it was finally time to revive that passion and build something with purpose again. Hearts & Paws is the result of that decision: a business rooted in compassion, creativity, and the desire to support veterinary practices in honouring the pets and families they serve.

Balancing a demanding 6am–6pm job with my “second shift” at home isn’t always easy. Late nights, early mornings, and weekends are often dedicated to planning, designing, packing, and dreaming. But every card we produce carries meaning. Every idea brought to life reminds me why I started.
​
Hearts & Paws is more than a business — it’s a labour of love, built on resilience, faith, and the belief that even the smallest gesture can bring comfort during a difficult goodbye.

And this is only the beginning.

Landi is not only my sister — she’s my best friend. Like me, she’s also a single mom and somehow she manages to balance motherhood, responsibility, and work with remarkable strength and grace. Her resilience and determination inspire me daily.

With years of experience as a Customer Services Manager, Landi brings a wealth of knowledge in client relations, problem-solving, and operational support. She understands that behind every inquiry is a person who deserves patience, empathy, and respect — something she delivers effortlessly.
​
At Hearts & Paws, she oversees customer communication, handles queries with care and efficiency, and ensures that every interaction reflects our values of compassion and professionalism. She has a natural ability to calm, reassure, and support — especially when clients are navigating emotional moments.

Her attention to detail, organizational skills, and genuine love for helping people make her an incredible asset to our team. She doesn’t just manage customer service — she builds relationships and trust.

Cayden Morris
Operations & Marketing

Cayden, Landi’s son, is currently studying Business Management and, in between classes, he lends a helping hand wherever he’s needed most.
​
From cutting, assembling, and packing to supporting our operations, he is always ready to step in and help. On the creative side, he assists with social media, advertising, and video editing — bringing a fresh, modern touch to everything we do.
​
His energy, enthusiasm, and willingness to jump in make a world of difference. We are incredibly grateful for his talent, dedication, and support — he is truly a valued asset behind the scenes.
